Spring Farm Parkway Stage 2

Consultation for Spring Farm Parkway Stage 2 concluded on 20 February 2022. If you wish to speak to someone from the project team you can email springfarmparkway2@transport.nsw.gov.au or phone 1800 325 146.

Background

Transport for NSW (Transport) is developing a proposed design for Stage 2 of Spring Farm Parkway, a 3km stretch of a new four lane divided road that would link Liz Kernohan Drive in the west with Spring Farm Parkway Stage 1. This is the second stage of an essential link between the Camden Bypass, the Hume Motorway and Menangle Road, Menangle Park.

This proposal will service existing and future residential land releases, including Spring Farm, Elderslie, Menangle Park and Mount Gilead. It will also provide an alternative east-west route to Narellan Road, with direct access to the Hume Motorway.

The proposal

The proposed design for Spring Farm Parkway Stage 2 will include the following:

  • a new four lane road which would complete the east-west connection between the Camden Bypass, Hume Motorway and Menangle Road
  • shared user paths for pedestrians and cyclists
  • improved flood protection
  • kerb and gutter along the entire route
  • traffic lights at key intersections
  • access to additional land release areas.

Project benefits

  • connects communities to the State road network and caters for residential growth
  • provides a key east-west connection for residents within the Greater Macarthur Growth Area
  • supports employment growth by providing road access connection to the Hume Motorway and Campbelltown
  • improves travel time reliability and efficiency for road users
  • provides necessary infrastructure for future public transport modes.
